Shamanic treatment for the disheartened, dispirited, or depressed!!!

I came across the following quote on Facebook and it is beautiful!!! I’m gonna try and incorporate this into my daily self love practice!!!

Here’s to more dancing, singing, being enchanted by stories & sweet territory of silence in 2019.

“In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions: “When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?”

Yoga Retreat Reflections

Back in Landaaaaaaaaaaaaan after this amazinggggggggggggggggggg Kundalini yoga retreat organised by Parminder Singh Garcha in Birmingham!!! I needed a bit of Brummie love!!! β™₯β™₯β™₯
The theme was “Be the Lighthouse”
The following Yogi Bhajan quotes below are what I took away from this weekend:

It’s very simple. When you have to say nothing, you do nothing, be nothing, then you know what you are? You are a lighthouse, so nobody else can wreck near you. That is the one thing in life you have to do. Spread the light. Be the lighthouse. So every journey, every destiny, every distance will be safe.

When the whole world falls, you must stand as a lighthouse. When there comes a great, great destructive typhoon of temptation, you must bless it and walk out of it.

Travel light, Live light,
Spread the light, Be the light.

And this is nicked straight from the Yogi Tea website:
Shine in times and places in which it is β€œdark” – like a lighthouse. Radiate optimism and confidence (light) where people have no light and no hope, where they don’t know a way out and where it is dangerous – like a ship that can’t see the rocks and cliffs and would be smashed to pieces without the lighthouse.
I believe this saying is a beautiful image that can inspire us to bring a bit more light into our world.
